Sunday's Musical Migrations is an eclectic blend of music from everywhere. I play what I feel you the listener will find interesting, enjoyable and perhaps thought provoking. You are likely to hear anything from Latin America's nueva canción to Corsica's polyphonic singing, from the taragato of Hungary to the claríno of Greece, from the valiha of Madagascar to the dan tranh of Viet Nam and all the points between and beyond.
As of August 20, 2006 this program will move to 1 - 3 p.m. every other Sunday. This is a decision by the programming staff at KUSP, not mine. I will be alternating with Jeff Grubb. I was in Corsica in 2003 for my first time and you can read an account of my travels here . I returned again in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and I hope to write about my adventures at some point. They were incredible! I am again returning in September of 2007.
My photographs are for sale; please contact me if you are interested.
