WORKING TO END HUNGER IN WATSONVILLE

EVENTS

Empty Bowls - An Artful Dinner to Fight Hunger

We invite your support of our Empty Bowls - An Artful Dinner to Fight Hunger event. This popular dinner and auction event takes place each October, raising 20% of our annual operating budget.

Empty Bowls brings together Pajaro Valley Loaves & Fishes and the local art community in our shared commitment to hunger relief among our neighbors in need. Local ceramic artists generously donate over 200 unique, handcrafted bowls for the event. Our guests for the evening select a souvenir bowl and enjoy served a savory meal of fine soups, salad, breads, wine, sparkling cider, and desserts, while enjoying good company. The evening includes live and silent auctions, as well as a raffle, which feature fine local artwork and crafts, goods, and services.

Pajaro Valley Loaves & Fishes is working to build a sustainable organization with expanded community involvement and a broader base of financial support. Join us in taking an active part in the local fight against hunger by providing your support to this special event.

Each year, dozens of local businesses, organizations, and individuals provide vital support for this event. We invite you to participate in this special event by:

  • Helping underwrite the event as a sponsor
  • Donating items for our live and silent auctions and raffle
  • Sharing your artistic talents with a donation of handmade ceramic pieces
  • Participating on the event committee
  • Buying tickets (or a table) for the event

All sponsors and donors are recognized in the event program and ads.

For more information on Empty Bowls - An Artful Dinner to Fight Hunger, contact Brooke Johnson, Executive Director of Pajaro Valley Loaves & Fishes, at 831-722-4144 or loavesandfishes@cruzio.com.
