A BRIEF GUIDE TO NARCISSISTIC PREDATORS
Not all persons suffering from Severe Narcissistic Personality Disorder
(SNPD) become compulsive child molesters or remorseless serial killers.
But even the less extreme NPDs should be considered dangerous.
SNPDs come from all walks of life, from all classes and professions.
These are the people who never take responsibility for their actions
and are never motivated to create mature relationships. All of their
relationships are manipulative and exploitative and exist only to serve
their own ends.
The distinguishing characteristics of these individuals are that they
are extremely charming and emotionally and psychologically
manipulative. They are exploitative, cunning and glib. They even may
appear to be capable of empathy and deep feeling, but it is all an act.
After squeezing someone’s energies and assets dry, they will
heartlessly discard them and go on to their next victim. Ironically
many SNPDs have a well-developed form of psychic radar that identifies
and homes in on others’ soft spots and vulnerabilities very quickly.
Although devoid of empathy themselves, SNPDs are expert at exploiting
the empathy of others. Sometimes they pose as victims, exaggerating
their suffering to elicit a sympathetic response in others—an
exploitative perversion of the normal human emotion of compassion
comparable to perversions by another type of psychopath of the normal
human sexual emotions.
People with low self esteem frequently fall victim to these charming
psychic predators, because SNPDs appeal to their need for approval.
They act the part of the perfect partner and when they gain their
victim’s confidence, they exploit them emotionally, socially, and
especially financially, without mercy.
The importance of being able to spot these sociopaths is to guard
against them, protect yourself and get away from them as soon as
possible.
