My landscape paintings are colorful celebrations of the natural world as it relates to the activities of man - agriculture, the fishing industry, recreation.

As a native of California, my favorite painting subjects are the coastal regions of California and other coastal areas of the world. Our environment is constantly in flux, changing with time and the seasons, and with the influences of man's activities and the structures of his making. Some believe man's presence in nature is only intrusive and negative; this artist views the human touch in a positive way! While the natural world is visually beautiful in and of itself, the human presence often enlivens and embellishes it. My acrylic paintings reflect the living landscape in vivid color and the sense that the world is indeed dynamic and alive!"
