Camelia is a successful producer of Canadian independent films. She has collaborated with Atom in various capacities since serving as production manager for Next Of Kin, his first feature. As co-producer of both Exotica and The Sweet Hereafter, she shared the podium with Egoyan in accepting the Genie Awards for Best Picture. Frieberg produced the first works of directors Jeremy Podeswa (Eclipse) and Srinivas Krishna (Masala), and has served as an assistant director and location manager on other projects. In 1988, she produced and directed her own documentary film, Crossing The River, which was aired on television by the CBC.
