The Truffula Forest

The trees were anchored with 6' sections of rebar hammered into the ground, and prevented from flying off with plastic bottles taped to the tops of the rebar. Burning Man also requires that you conceal corporate logos such as 'Budget', so we painted some dropcloths to go over the truck. Meddle is on top of the truck and is beginning to set up the cloths.
Trees are now mostly put in place. They are cylinders of chickenwire with papermache, yellow paint, and foam tufts on top with blacklight reactive nylons stretched over them. The chill cave, right, is also being constructed with a cool tunnel leading in to it. The cloths are on, with Lorax Camp written in blacklight paint. We looked cool at night.
A night shot with our first blacklights set up. They were pretty weak, but we got some better ones later and we glowed like Barbaloots bathing in radioactive slime. We also had a pimpin' sign and Lorax made by Imraan, which were well used for photo ops by passing Burners.
A daytime shot from another angle. Zev, our fearless leader (grin), and Martin are hanging out, undoubtedly weighing some weighty problem.
Another shot. The factory is seen in the background, leering ominously at the poor broken tree (with a funny angle in its trunk), which is soon to be a bushel of thneeds.
