Dynamic unaccompanied singing born out of black South Africa's struggle for equality and justice under Apartheid, incorporating the wonderful blend of traditions that took root in South Africa over generations of keeping song alive as an every-day necessity. Joyous harmonies, earnest rhythms and powerful messages in songs of inspiration, courage, resistance, struggle, labor & celebration.
Pre-registration is required (this is not a drop-in class).

No auditions or extra practice necessary. Although music & lyric sheets will be provided, you do not need to be able to read music to take this class. All the songs can be learned by ear.
