Experience Summery:
I have been a HAM (KC6QLC, now AC6DN) for over ten years.
Started as a Novice, immediately up-graded to Tech (Plus); Then, General,
Advanced, now Extra. Before that (~ age 10), I was a CB'er [(Santa Cruz)
Blue Flame, Ch. 17], for about fifteen years (still am, don't tell anyone,
even though I'm rarely on it - any more). I'm not
one of those Ham's, that isn't technology friendly, I'm active on the Internet
(I maintain this (and two other)Web Sites), several EMail accounts, and
I own (and, use) two different (Portable, AMPS/CDMA(IS-95a); Car, AMPS/TDMA(IS-54)
Cell phones.

Employment (HAM related):
Tele-Path Corp. Two-way radio communications
shop. Provider of radio equipment and services. Radio Technician, (Mid
1997): Repaired; Motorola, GE, Uniden, and others. Built Repeaters. Interfaced
with customers to solve radio problems; Answered technical service phone
calls. I was the HAM interface.

Note: This shop, HATES HAM's!!!
B.C.H. Electronics. Small Business Owner,
(1978 - 1991): Sold, troubleshot, and repaired various portable, mobile,
and Base radio transceivers (such as; HAM, Scanning, CB, etc.). Installed
complete communications systems. Developed and manufactured various (HAM
and CB) communications products and accessories.

Applied my expertise to ensure clients' expectations were met.
Usual Employment Position:
Wireless
services management, RF
Engineering Technician or Senior Level RF Electronic Technician. This
position has a focus on helping Engineering and Manufacturing
achieve a quality product (In other words, it can be built from the spec's
(Doc's), easy to test and repair (if needed), has a more than 90+% first
pass rate in manufacturing, ships on time, (and there is vary low return
rate (RMA's) and the customer loves it - and wants another one!).
Other possible positions could include: Manufacturing (sustaining),
Test, Applications or Quality, Engineer.
Education:
Cabrillo College; Electronics Technology, with special emphasis on RF and
analog troubleshooting. Ham Radio class, Novice, 1990 (KC6QLC). Soquel
High School; Electronics. Self taught my self electronic using the ARRL
Handbooks, as a pre-teen. Work place ISO-9000, and ESD training and ANSI
/ IPC-610B, class 1 - through 3.
Relevant Outside Interests:
Electronics experimenter,
Audiophile, Amateur Extra Class - AC6DN, 4x4 enthusiast, and 'shade tree
mechanic'.
