My Tire history, and what brands I like and not, and why...

Michelin LTX M/S * are excellent tires. They are, Vary Quite, on the road. At least, from America's Tires, there is a 60K mile warranty. As you can see, I have tread left, at 60K...  I do, 75-80%, on-road, ~20% off-raod. They have, Vary good on road traction and manners, especially in the rain!  Off road, dirt - good; mud, they suck...
There messin with the names of the tires? I think at America's and CostCo, is still called LTX-M/S. At sears a simulator tire is, XC-LT-4.
      * Do not get the one, that shoulder of the tire, is closed up, get the one that looks like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the average person, who drives mostly on-road, Stick with the LTX M/S...

For my next set of tires, I wan them to be a little better, off road. I 'm thinking of: Goodyear AT/S, Pirelli Scorpion AT or, Michelin AT (too tame)?...  At ~$100+ a tire, 50k miles, or more is important...

Well, finally, my Michelins LTX's, wore out, and Americas Tires gave me great deal on a new set of four Goodyear Wranglers AT/S.
The Wranglers are good off-road, but have a vage feel, at freeway speeds. Not all that loud, for this type. Good in the rain, not as good as LTX, or Sorpin's...
If you drive slowly, and a lot of off-road, these are good for you...

I don't really like BFGoodrich AT's, but there ok. They cost as much as, 50K and 60K, tires, but last only 40K Miles.  They use to be a good deal, when the, tire stores, were aloud to have them "on sale". Now there, $100-110 (31-10.5x15)  Then, there were usually around $90, and when there were on sale, they were as low as $70?  O-well...
Thease are good tires. Probabley more like the Wranglers. I'd go for the "KO" type...

I Now have Pirelli's Scorpions AT's. **  I like the Pirelli's (my first chose) Best (see below for a picture); They are better than the Michelin's (2nd chose), or the Wranglers (3rd chose). The Pirelli's are almost as good in the rain, but better off-road, than the Michelin's (did poorly off-road, comparatively). Compared to the Wranglers, were just ok. but poor on-road feel.
**  Be aware there is a on-road type of scorpion (not AT?). It have no blocks of tread on the outer edges. I do not recommend this tire!!!
If your like me, and you actually drive your truck off-road, but not as often as you would like. If you drive sportily (not slow). These are the tires for you...

As usual, I got them from America's tires (Now called, Discount tire)...
