I have worked as a Registered Nurse most of my adult life with the exception of the three years I spent traveling around the States. During this period I wore many hats: waitress, pizza maker, house painter and canvasser, to name but a few. For the last eight years I have worked as a visiting nurse helping people in their homes. I enjoy the community aspect of my work and am proud of the impact I have on people’s lives. I am fortunate that my career affords me a lot of flexibility. I can’t wait to be a Mom, and I plan to take all the time off that’s needed to nurture a new baby.

As the manager of a successful independent record store, I feel I am one of the fortunate few who have managed to combine my hobby with my work. I’ve been an avid collector of music most of my life and now have the opportunity to share that passion with others. I hope to own a record store of my own in the near future. In the meantime, I dream about sharing my love of music with my child and anxiously await the day when I can introduce him or her to a steady diet of blues, reggae and soul.
