The bottom dwellers strike again and again and again...

There are countless examples and episodes that provide clarity and insight into the immoral values, chosen blindness, deluded arrogance and the selfish intent of the Bush Administration. But here are two items that should be absolutely memorized.

The first is just jaw-dropping. From Ron Suskind's Faith, Certainty and the Presidency of George W. Bush article in the October 17, 2004 New York Times Magazine:
...In the summer of 2002, after I had written an article in Esquire that the White House didn't like about Bush's former communications director, Karen Hughes, I had a meeting with a senior adviser to Bush. He expressed the White House's displeasure, and then he told me something that at the time I didn't fully comprehend -- but which I now believe gets to the very heart of the Bush presidency.

The aide said that guys like me were ''in what we call the reality-based community,'' which he defined as people who ''believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.'' I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. He cut me off. ''That's not the way the world really works anymore,'' he continued. ''We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do...''

Yes, this group of 'history's actors' has FUBAR-ed Iraq, creating such a reality that thousands have to continue to die and be maimed because this bunch of idiot empire savants are incapable of creating another actual reality from the one they themselves truly fashioned. They cling to the dreamy one they made up and, like a child's favorite blanket, refuse to relinquish it. The one they personally birthed has proven unmanageable, especially for a band whose exceptional savant talent is wrecking, destroying and despoiling everything they touch. They truly have provided so much to learn from--their baffling exploits will be enshrined case studies for centuries to come for historians, psychologists, sociologists, anthropologists and business professors.

AND

The second is courtesy of the Anne Hull and Dana Priest-written article The Hotel Aftermath published in the February 19, 2007edition of The Washington Post:
Perks and stardom do not come to every amputee. Sgt. David Thomas, a gunner with the Tennessee National Guard, spent his first three months at Walter Reed with no decent clothes; medics in Samarra had cut off his uniform. Heavily drugged, missing one leg and suffering from traumatic brain injury, David, 42, was finally told by a physical therapist to go to the Red Cross office, where he was given a T-shirt and sweat pants. He was awarded a Purple Heart but had no underwear.

David tangled with Walter Reed's image machine when he wanted to attend a ceremony for a fellow amputee, a Mexican national who was being granted U.S. citizenship by President Bush. A case worker quizzed him about what he would wear. It was summer, so David said shorts. The case manager said the media would be there and shorts were not advisable because the amputees would be seated in the front row.

" 'Are you telling me that I can't go to the ceremony 'cause I'm an amputee?' " David recalled asking. "She said, 'No, I'm saying you need to wear pants.' "

David told the case worker, "I'm not ashamed of what I did, and y'all shouldn't be neither." When the guest list came out for the ceremony, his name was not on it.

At the very least, this should have members of the military from top to bottom, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion storming the gates of The White House. But no, the leadership of these groups has always chosen to remain fully attached to the anus of those in charge when given the choice to act in full faith for their members or pander to power.

After all, image is everything to George Bush--because there is nothing else--and the appearance of a decapitated vet, one who truly and vividly sacrificed for his country, is simply verboten. The real life effects of war must always remain out of sight because allowing otherwise would not be beneficial to these 'actors of history' out there creating their own form of dis-connected unreality. Here we have a living FUBAR-ed human being, a product of the 'history' these 'actors' have bestowed upon us and this world, but this particular veteran represents a truth these spineless cowards cannot ever admit to, let alone, face or even display. Sacrifice your body, sacrifice your mind and then be curtained off and consigned to a dump of a living quarters. Yet another act of first class patriotism by the members of the restore-values-to-the-White-House scum.
