Bush Loyalty: My People Over My Country

"Our first priority will be to restore honor and dignity to the White House," George W. Bush, in 2000 campaign.

Dear President Bush:

A civil servant putting her life on the line for this country gets "outed" and has her career ended simply out of political payback.

You yawn.

Your 'commander' at the Department of Defense, despite knowing well ahead of the actual events, fails to provide enough troops, neglects honoring our soliders with basic personal and vehicle protective armor, dismisses a direct question with the mamby-pampy 'you go to war with the army you have not the one you wish you ha.'

You twiddle your thumbs.

Your 'leader' at the CIA bumbles the most important decisions he faces.

You award him a Presidential Medal of Freedom.

You 'honor' your physically and mentally wounded vets.

By cutting medical services for veterans.

President Bush, regarding your restoration of honor and integrity:
  • Is that how Valerie Plame feels?
  • Is that how the troops in Iraq feel?
  • Is that how General Eric Shinseki feels?
  • Is that how Chuck Hegel feels?
  • Is that how General Anthony Zinni feels?
  • Is that how John McCain feels?
  • Is that how Wes Clark feels?
  • Is that how Lt. Gen William Odom feels?
President Bush, when you accepted Jesus into your heart, you said it changed you.

Why is sobriety the only apparent alteration?

Why did your 'makeover' abruptly end there?

Why have you retained your 'previous' persona of churlishness.
vindictiveness and irresponsibility,

Where and when have you stood up and accepted full-fledged responsibility for anything? Why have the toughest moments in your life resulted in deflection, 'cost containment,' subterfuge, missing documents and the invoking of privilege?

Your 'world' has ALWAYS been about what best serves you and your syncophants.

Maybe this country comes in a sorry third.

Maybe. If it isn't politically or personally inconvenient.
