Bush broke it, make him pay before he leaves

 Remember the old shopping guideline: you break it, you pay for it. That seems fair to me. The addendum to this is that acceptable compensation isn't in the form of a promise, an IOU or  'see that stranger down the road, well, he'll take care of it--see you later.'

Applying this axiom to a much more substantial tableau, George Bush 'broke' Iraq and it's HIS responsibility to fix it before he leaves the presidency. It's more than enough that thousands of individuals have already lost their lives and been scarred mentally and physically because of:
  1. his attempt to make a delusional fantasy come true
  2. his lifelong ineptitude whenever he is in charge of anything
  3. his searing psychological defect of having to prove himself 'better' than his father and brother.
He needs to get Iraq 'solved' (the U.S. out of there) prior to his inglorious departure in 2008. It's inadequate for any of that 'leave it to the next guy' crap when it comes to Iraq.

Not that many in the media will take up the cudgel but it's past time to begin injecting this into our national debate.

Of course, some will say why ask (or even expect) a lifelong bumbler, a man with the ungolden touch, to fix a problem of his own making--that his involvement will only make any situation worse.

There's certainly a great deal of evidence and truth to that but I still say that if he in unable to come up with sufficient means to resolve HIS wreckage before his departure, then we do what happens to those who fail to live up to their agreements. Breaking something and issuing a bad check or no payment whatsoever translates into jail time. Hell, he even lied that the mission was accomplished. We're talking one very demented individual here.

Here's a thought--Tom DeLay is probably going to be housed in a double--so there's room...

Okay, I feel better now.
