Death Comes On Little Cat Feet More people, soldiers and civilians, were killed today in Iraq. In Darfur, the bodies keep mounting, some from genocide, some from its aftermath. Despite the devastation caused by the tsunami in December, the civilian toll climbs as a result of the civil war between the Tamils and the Sri Lankan government. The hold of Robert Mugabe on the Zimbabwe government continues to add to the death toll of his political opponents. The Marburg virus has killed 102 so far in Angola but those numbers are miniscule in comparison to the thousands of dead and dying African AIDS sufferers. Rogue military police, upset at government anti-corruption efforts focused on their ranks, killed 30 people in drive-by shootings in Rio De Janeiro on Thursday. Oh, by the way, the Pope died today. Terry Schiavo died Thursday. Just in case you haven't heard. top |
