Kudos to Bob Scheiffer

Thanks to Bob Schieffer, I damn near seriously injured myself Sunday morning.

There I was reading the newspaper, with the television droning in the background. Bob Scheiffer came on, lit a torch (not a candle) for the resurgence of mainstream media and jolted me to the floor with his announcement that the drawn-out Valerie Plame case COULD and SHOULD have been resolved two years ago by the simple act of President Bush asking his staff about culpability.

That is, IF President Bush REALLY wanted to get to the bottom of the situation. Uh, can someone categorically define really?

I guess the presidential election of 2004 distracted him. He must have put it off for a bit and, you know, things got busy. It's not like he see Karl Rove THAT often. Probably just a few times a day.

I did slightly injure my left arm (of course) but I'm hoping Bob Schieffer will sign my band-aid.

Okay, your serve Brian Williams. I dare you to put me on the carpet again.

As usual, the pros at Crooks and Liars have a video link to Schieffer's indignation.
