But Mine's The Right Moral Relativism

Pardon me but the next buffoon that accuses Democrats of wallowing in a cesspool of moral relativism is going to experience a free brain scan, courtesy of I Cogitate. A non-sedative one in which we will slowly work our way up to the brain.

Gandhi would understand.

What is moral relativism?

Per Funk & Wagnalls, it is "the theory that truths are relative and may vary according to the individual, place or time"--just attach morality to that.

Incorrectly, Democrats are labeled as the nuance group, the ones who hold no steadfast values and beliefs.

Huh?

What takes place every day in the courtrooms in our nation? Why are some of the guilty sentenced to death while others, perpetrators of the same crime, receive a lesser sentence? Why does this take place under the jurisprudence of both Republican and Democratic judges and juries? Could this be moral relativism?

What takes place every day during war time? Why is the killing of innocent civilians, "collateral damage" euphemistically determined a 'cost of war,'' determined a taking of life deserving of no penalty? Could this be moral relativism?

What takes place every day in the chambers of our political houses during session? Why are votes 'traded,' whereby Republican and Democratic politicians vote for legislation they don't actually support and believe in, because of quid pro quo agreements? Could this be moral relativism?

What takes place every day in many countries in this world where Republican and Democratic administrations prop up, financially support and generally ignore that elephant in the living room--horrific human rights abuses--because of 'strategic interests?' Could this be moral relativism?

So, to you Inspector Javerts out there--accuse me when the candidates and politicians you support are 'free and clear' of any whiff of moral relativism.

Better yet, when you are.
