Josh Green paints a Turdblossom I won't post it (I've previously done so) but I'll link to it. It being Joshua Green's November 2004 article in The Atlantic featuring the slimy history of one Karl Rove. It is required reading for insight into Turdblossom but what goes unwritten is that it also provides a strong sense of how anyone aligning themselves with KR checks his or her scruples and conscience at the door--even the born-again, Jesus-is-my-favorite-philosopher current inhabitant of The White House. Yes, Dubya's Faustian bargain--call it a Rovian one here--is quite telling in regards to the depths that an individual will descend in order to hook up with someone who can aid them in reaching an ambitious goal. And that's exactly what happened when The Decider hooked up with The Deceiver. Please don't get me wrong--Turdblossom is very smart and extremely capable--but he's not infallible. The 2006 congressional elections are prima facie evidence. Bush's 30% approval rating also delineates this Turdblossom is simply someone who has chosen to deliberately cast aside any semblance of a moral compass, a decision that, in my humble opinion, thus renders him ineligible for any professional or personal respect. This makes he and Bush two peas in a pod. These two nauseating and psychologically infirm individuals complete each other--the front-and-center public puppet and his private string master. Neither could have singularly 'achieved' what they have 'accomplished' without the other. Turdblossom--and Bush too--are each the living epitome of the old sports cliche that 'winning is everything.' Such has worked because much of the media elite in D.C. and New York have made their personal choices and have displayed their values in ignoring the harm Codpiece and Turdblossom have done to various individuals and ultimately our country. All that matters in the supreme level media hemisphere is that Bush-aholic triumphed twice and Turdblossom engineered two successful presidential campaigns. Period. But curiously, what is slowly leaking out day-by-day is the startling extent that Bush and Rove--primarily Rove since he is the idea person and long-term strategist, with Dubya but the frontman--have gone to weave their political tendrils into so many aspects of our government and judiciary. Such will be the subject matter for blog entries here in the neat future. We're still waiting for any major connecting-of-the-dots so we will attempt to accomplish this ourselves. Go here to read or re-read Green's article and then ask yourself would you associate, professionally or personally, with this individual? top |
