Make a mug for a Teacher,Coach, or staff member at Gonzales High School

For this mug assignment I want you to select a person at Gonzales High School to make a mug for. In order to prevent one person from getting all the mugs you will need to tell me who you are making a mug for and If that person has many people making mugs for them I will have you select another person.After you have chosen the person you are going to make a mug for you will need to start thinking about the various traits that person has so you can start desingning the mug. Your mug must include something about the person you are making it for by adding various symbols, and decorations that relate to that person. You should also try to design the handel of the mug so it incoperates your ideas. You may want to try to make a portrait of the person you are making the mug for.

How to start

First

Brainstorm and make a list of five people who you would like to make a mug for. Once you have your list rate them in order of preference with number one being the person you would most like to make a mug for.You will need to turn this list in along with your design plans.

Second

Once you have selected your choices of people to make a mug for start thinking how you could represent them on a mug. Think about characteristics of their personality, what they wear, their manerisms or things they say often. Imagine what about them made you choose them to make a mug for. You will need to turn in three design plans/drawings of three different mugs( different people) that you would make for people at GUHS.

Third

Once you have all your plans and have turned in your proposal you may start making your mug. I will tell you which person is available to make a mug for based on my master list. You may need to make your mug for your second or third choice. Your proposal and list is worth up to 25 points.

The restraints I have on your mug are:

1. You can use some words and numbers to convey important things about your person, but it must also have some sculpted symbols to convey your ideas.

2.You are not allowed to make anything offencive about the person you are making the mug for. Your mug can be funny , but it should not offend the person you are making it for.

3. You may not use anything relating to drugs or have any tasteless body parts.
