Make a Ceramics Web Page

The purpose of this assignment is for you to start learning how to make a simple web page and for you to have a means to display your various projects to a large body of people. If you are willing to experiment and research how iweb works, you may develop a more advanced looking site with roll over buttons and drawings. There are tutorials for the program plus there is information at the apple i web site that can help you with more advanced skills. If you have had a class in PhotoShop you may use your skills from that class to enhance your site. I will demonstrate various step by step techniques and you may work with your friends to develop your site.

Your web page needs to have the following requirements to be considered complete and it will need to be completed by the end of the semester. You should start working on this as soon as possible and add to it as you complete your various projects.

How to get started:

1.It is best to first draw out a sitemap. The sitemap (also called the flowchart) is just that, a visual map or outline of your site. A sitemap shows how the site will be organized. A sitemap also gives you a visual sense of what pages and sections need to be filled, and it helps you plan navigational elements. The sitemap will create a structure from which you can base your design. A sitemap is an outline presented as a box diagram, with lines that display the navigational paths.

2.Once you have your site drawn out, you should make what is called an interactive prototype (which is simply all your pages and their links) to see if everything works correctly. With this completed, you can start filling in your pages with the required information and start experimenting with the design of your site.

3.This site will be due by the end of the semester and we will view sites and compare how each student made their site.
