My Family Tree!!

Happy Times

I do lots of fun things. But sometimes are especially happy, like the times when I go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Nana and Pa Don got us a family pass so I can keep going to see my favorite fish and other things.


I also have fun with my cats, Meme and Sybil. Sybil is Joel's cat but she lives with us now cause he lives up at the University. Sybil is kinda shy -- we call her "skitty kitty" cause she hides under the bed or runs away if you walk toward her too fast. She has beautiful blue eyes and is very soft. Meme is Angelina's cat but she lives with us. She is not shy at all. She is a black cat and she does funny things. My Mom calls her "kitty-with-no-manners" because she is always looking for milk -- on the table or on the kitchen counter. We say "get down kitty!" But she is sooooo loveable!


I like to do art. My Dad and Pa Don are artists. Pa Don makes beautiful scenes in watercolor. We have one on our wall in the front room. We love it. My dad does sculptures. He did a sculpture for me when I was still not born (I was in my Mom's tummy). I love that sculpture. He says I will have it someday -- just like the ones he has from his Great Uncle George who was also a great artist. This is me next to my sculpture.


I have an uncle named Jeff. He is an artist too! He likes cartoon characters like Daffy Duck. One day a long time ago he told my mom that "Jaffy Duck always Bugs Bonnie" and she laughed and laughed. He likes to draw kids books. One time he made a whole book about Herman the Helicopter who helped clean up oil that gets spilled into the ocean. I bet they would like to sell that book at the Monterey Bay Aquarium!



My Mom and Dad like to go to art museums. My Dad likes Noguchi and Brancusi. Before we moved back to California we went to the Noguchi Museum one last time and spent the day in New York with Sarah and Chris. I walked in to the museum and said "Wo, this is cool!"



I also like music a lot. My Godfather, Chris teaches me things sometimes on his bass. I like to listen to the music on earphones like Joel does -- and dance. But I think I like drums most of all. When we went to Santa Fe, my Mom and Dad got me a real drum from Taos.



I like Disneyland!!! My cousin Jimmy and I went there together this Summer with my Mom and aunt Shari. It was my first time but Jimmy goes there lots of times every year because he lives very close to Disneyland. My favorite rides were the Merry-Go-Round in Fantasy Land and the Pirates of the Caribbean. Jimmy and I both got treasure chests with chocolate coins there. I also liked the cars. But I was too scared to go into the Haunted House. Jimmy and I went to Mickey Mouse's house and they took a picture of us there. Here we are next to the castle.

 



 

My cousins Megan, Amy and Douglas live near Disney World. They go there a lot. I wish I could go see them in Florida. They sent me a Disney CD ROM of "101 Dalmations" for my birthday. It made me wish we could go there soon! My cousins Amy and Megan love the Spice Girls. They are okay but I like to do more boy things. But they like butterflies too. We have monarchs here by Natural Bridges Beach. This picture is from my second Christmas. We were at Nana's house and we got to see my cousins!


My cousin Douglas likes planes. I do too. Someday I hope I can fly one. Maybe Douglas and I can go out and fly together!


I like theatre. My cousin Geneva likes to sing like in a Broadway play. She is very funny and fun. I only get to see here once in a while because she lives in Utah. She has a baby sister named Elsie. Elsie is my cousin too. Here is a picture of us when I was two years old.


I like to watch the Simpsons -- especially with my Dad and my brother, Joel. Joel likes to watch Star Trek too. Sometimes I watch that with him. We are gonna go see the new Star Wars movie together when it comes out.
