The Girl Who Sailed Away is based on an early childhood adventure that I believe had a lasting impression on me and members of my family. Revolution is a travalog and account of my trip to Nicaragua in December of 1983 during the Sandinista Revolution. The Shark Hunt is an account of some of my experiences while living on the Sausalito waterfront in1984. Bicycling With the Enemy was written after my first visit to Cuba in Janurary of 1999. Adventures in Paradise is a travel diary of my experiences when I returned to Cuba to teach computer skills to the students at the University of Havana  December1999 to January 2000. Vacation of Tortures is the most recent story I have written of a visit to Cuba in the summer of 2000.
