Musical Migrations is an eclectic blend of music from everywhere. I play what I feel you the listener will find interesting, enjoyable and perhaps thought provoking. You are likely to hear anything from Latin America's nueva canción to Corsica's polyphonic singing, from the taragato of Hungary to the claríno of Greece, from the valiha of Madagascar to the dan tranh of Viet Nam and all the points between and beyond.
I was in Corsica in 2003 for my first time and you can read an account of my travels here . I returned again in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and I hope to write about my adventures at some point. They were incredible! I returned again in September of 2007 and spring of 2008. You can see photographs of my journeys at my flickr site.
My photographs are for sale; please contact me if you are interested.
Also still here are the playlists for my former show The Global Village as well as for any show that I have been the substitute--just click on the date. You can also see reviews of some of my favorite CD's or go to popmatters.com and search for Gypsy Flores at their site.
