Getting Loaded
I have never loaded a horse in a trailer. I have not spent much time in the round pen teaching a horse how to respond to my cues to move out or face up, but here I am in the middle of this ring with our teacher Scott, moving out Rocky. Later in the day I load and unloaded my horse in the trailer twice. I did it a second time for good measure.
It is amazing to see this thousand pound animal whirling around me and to feel that in the best moments we actually connect. I feel that Scott just put me where it was hardest, in the center, and gave me space to find how to stand there.
