Of Her Heart

She waits and wonders in her cocoon of misery
The outside world beckons
With colors
alive with the breath of life
She waits and wonders in the gray dawn of her existence
Her vibrant soul pulsating
yearning
To break free of the bonds of social morality

She waits and wonders if she will be found
Will the true she be discovered uncovered allowed to fly
She wonders but will she dare
To heal her wounded being with the soothing balm of love's embrace
She waits
Her smile masking the hurt that life has dealt
She asks
Her smile beckoning the goodness that is a possibility
She flies
On woven dreams potent with longing
She sees
With eyes unblinking the truth
Of love
Of her soul
Of her heart.
