I am a 27-year-old out-of-work copy editor who's been using those skills part time since 1991 as the motorsports correspondent for the Santa Cruz County Sentinel. Currently I live in Cupertino, Calif.
I've been online since 1984, and first appeared on Usenet in '85 or '86. I began regularly using the internet in 1990, as far as I can remember.
Being a racing fan and reporter, a page I highly recommend is that of Motorsport News International. The biggest events I cover take place at Laguna Seca Raceway. I also cover the weekly action at the Watsonville Speedway, the track Ernie Irvan grew up at while his dad and uncle raced.
I also love and do a little bit of composing and performing of ragtime music. In fact, it was I who proposed and drafted the charter of the Usenet newsgroup rec.music.ragtime. Check out the Ragtime Home Page.
Recently I got a PC and have been transferring my MIDI files to it from my old Amiga, and now they can be shared with everyone! Some of my own compositions can be purchased in sheet music form, also. See the MIDI page for details.
One of my favorite TV shows is Babylon 5. See that link if you've never been able to get into the show, as it has synopses of episodes or whole seasons, to explain how the plot has evolved to date (the story is nearing conclusion, as it's no longer "The Dawn of the Third Age of Mankind"; it now is the Third Age of Mankind). It also has information on upcoming episodes.
And as well as now having a MIDI page up (see above), I've been maintaining pages about another cartoon series, Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys.
