We got home to Aptos just in time to experience the most radical, lengthy thunderstorm. I believe it was directly above our house for at least two hours. Luckily Liana slept through it, but PawPaw was absolutely miserable as the house shook with each thunder clap. And then the hail started. And finally with a bolt of lightening and a "pop" as power lines and transformers were struck, we lost power.

The next morning we assumed the hail would have all melted, since there was still plenty of rain. But to our surprise, we had a snowy morning.
