MISSION
Our mission is to assist people in the Pajaro Valley with nutritious food, education, and referrals in cooperation with other agencies.
We work in collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank and the Pajaro Valley Pantry Network to ensure that the emergency and daily food needs of all members of the community are met.
We are partnering with the Education and Outreach Department of Second Harvest to provide our clients with nutrition and consumer education. Our goal is to empower our clients to make health-supporting food choices on a limited budget.
We also partner with the Homeless Persons Health Project to provide our clients access to health and mental health services.
In addition, we assist our clients in meeting their other needs by providing referrals to other community agencies and resources.
Vision and Values
We envision a Pajaro Valley community in which all people have access to healthy food and the other basic necessities of life.
We are committed to working collaboratively to develop a healthier, more food-secure community. Our director Patricia Morales is actively involved in collaborative policy and advocacy work through the Central Coast Hunger Coalition and the Go for Health Collaborative to effect change at the local and regional levels.
Each day we manifest the values of service, compassion, and justice in our work, as we help to sustain the lives of community members in need.
