Spirit of the Forests

This piece was dyed with cutch, from a kind of acacia tree. The stags, ravens and oak leaves celebrate the Black Point forest where I did so may years of Faire. The oak leaf block I carved while demonstrating out at the faire. I had been sitting at my worktable trying to decide what to carve for a demo and this oak leaf floated down from the trees and landed right in front of me, Yes, I can take a cosmic hint!
