Noel And Jeannine Trio
This jazz trio features Jeannine Van Brunt on piano,
Noel Simpson on upright bass, and Steven Velasquez on drums.
The trio specializes in intimate dinner music to enhance any
private event or restaurant ambiance. Their repertoire consists
mainly of swing, Latin and ballads, with some modern jazz for spice.

Jeannine attended San Francisco State University and is a long time member
of the Santa Cruz Jazz Society. She has been entertaining Santa Cruz audiences
With her lyrical and creative approach to jazz piano for many years.
Jeannine enjoys taking jazz standards and playing them with a Latin beat, bossa or samba.
This gives the trio a lively but subdued ambiance. She specializes in modern jazz techniques,
which contribute spicy and contemporary aspects to her music.
Jeannine is also a prolific composer and vocalist.

Noel on bass is originally from Liverpool, England. He started playing music
In LA, and eventually moved to the Central Coast. His lush, melodic
bass playing has been the foundation of many jazz groups over the years.

Steven on drums, is a veteran of the Santa Cruz jazz scene, and has
Played with many of the top-notch players in the area. Steve has the ability
to play dynamic and creative drum beats in a controlled fashion,
without overpowering the music.

Noel and Steven have played jazz in the Northern California region for
many years, and their clients include; The Lodge at Pebble Beach,
The Inn at Spanish Bay, many Carmel Valley resorts, and Santa Cruz
and Napa Valley wineries.
