Nestled in the southern Sierras, you'll be less than a half mile from beaches, boating and recreational activities. Only 2 miles from the town of Lake Isabella and only 10 miles from Kernville, home of the famous annual Whiskey Flat Days™ festival (held during the President's Day weekend).
Nearby, you'll find adventure and relaxation on the Kern River, which offers the opportunity to soak in the natural hot springs, go river rafting, visit historic mining towns, and view thousands of acres of scenic, unspoiled mountain and high desert terrain. The lake itself is a reservoir, created by the Isabella Dam, and has a surface area of 11,000 acres, providing the perfect atmosphere for fishing, windsurfing, beachcombing, and other water activites.
