This book was made by duplicating a one-of-a-kind book that Donna hand painted and hand lettered. The text is in both Hawaiian and English. It is a proverb, "Love is worn like a wreath through the summers and the winters, love is everlasting." The book was color copied onto Peter's handmade paper and then accordion bound between covers that are wrapped with Hawaiian tapa cloth, a traditional cloth-like material made by pounding the inner bark of the mulberry tree. A paper label, like a cigar band, holds the book together.
