Lyn Lifshin

Lyn Lifshin
is an icon of the contemporary American poetry scene. Roger Kyle-Keith described her poetry as coming "wham-wham-wham in a torrent of words and visual stimuli," and Oberc has praised "that mandatory Lyn Lifshin angst." Lifshin is now at work on a book for Black Sparrow. She has published dozens of chapbooks and has edited four anthologies of women's writing, including Ariadne's Thread from Harper & Row and Tangled Vines: A Collection of Mother and Daughter Poems from Beacon Press. She is also the subject of a documentary film, Lyn Lifshin: Not Made of Glass. Lyn Lifshin continues to give readings and lectures.
