Variations on collar marks

In the foliage, where the leaves meet, surrounding the flowers, collars of color may be present, irrespective of the presence or absence of wide-spread patterning of the leaves. The collars often repeat colors present in the flowers, but not necessarily. Black collars may appear about the base of white flowers or orange collars about purple flowers.
