Big
flowers, small flowers
In the Santa Cruz Mountains, it’s possible to encounter toadshades
with quite small flowers, with petals not even an inch long. Most
fascinating to humans are the toadshades with large flowers. Toadshades
with petals 4 inches long are still to be found. Toadshades with
petals 5 inches long or longer may still exist.
