Snow white and ivory flowers

These are still fairly often found in the northwestern Santa Cruz Mountains. In white-flowered toadshade the anthers are sometimes creamy or yellow and the ovaries, pale green. But usually tinges of purple or red are present, and frequently snow white petals may surround anthers and ovaries that are a contrastingly colored, dark red or even blackish.
