Impeach Bush Letter To House Judiciary

Impeach President Bush -sample letter

Dear Honorable Chairman,

Please adopt a resolution to conduct an impeachment inquiry into President Bush's dishonest campaign to convince us to illegally and pre-emptively invade and occupy Iraq under the doctrine of unconstitutional pre-emptive war. I'm concerned that many are either willfully ignoring or overlooking the fact that HJR 114 specifically states that nothing in it supersedes requirements in the War Powers Resolution, and the War Powers Resolution specifically states that nothing in it alters provisions in existing international treaties. The 'supremacy clause' in article VI of our constitution makes clear that international treaties are the supreme law of the land. Since Iraq did not pose an imminent threat, several international treaties have been broken; hence, the supreme law of our land has been broken. The laws broken destroyed international good will, destroyed the infrastructure of an entire country, cost American citizens billions of dollars, killed thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians, and killed many of our own most precious resource, American lives. Certainly, the damage done rises to a sufficient level of egregiousness to warrant impeachment, and removal from office.

Thank you for your consideration,
