BIO
I’ve been painting since early childhood.
I attended San Jose State University, studying under Eric Oback, Robert
Freimark (student of Henri Matisse) and Sam Richardson, graduating with
scholarship honors in 1968. I have since been in numerous one-person and
group shows throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and in Colorado, Arizona
and Japan. In 2001 I had a one-person exhibit at the Museum of Northeast
Nevada, as featured in VIA magazine. In 2008 my illustrations were used as book covers for novels "Iowa Terror" and
"Guests of the Nation" by author Mike Palecek. I currently participate each October
in Santa Cruz Open Studios, and other shows throughout the year.
As a songwriter, I’ve performed
in clubs and venues in California, Canada, and on Island Princess Cruises,
and wrote and produced the album “Julienne” in 1980. My most
recent release is “Restless Heart” featuring 14 original songs,
available on CD.
