SEACLIFF STATE BEACH or Seacliff State Park, is one of my favorite parks in Santa Cruz County. My name is Tom Lutz. I moved to the Santa Cruz area in 1972, and started visiting the park soon afterwards, when I moved to Aptos in the following year. I found the sand on the beach was (and still is) perfect for jogging at low tide, and there is also the path along the seawall for jogging or walking, if conditions on the beach are not to ones liking.

I soon began to notice the occasional, wonderful sunsets, but did not attempt taking photographs of them until 1993, when I took a few shots using an inexpensive point and shoot film camera. In 2003 I got my first digital camera, and was really on the hunt for sunsets after that! I also began to shoot more winter scenes, when the surf gets big and stormy, and the light and clouds can be very interesting.

Although I enjoy taking picture of many other subjects, and am also involved in digital art and graphics, I liked the idea of a small gallery just for my Seacliff State Beach images. I hope you enjoy viewing the gallery! Keep checking back here, because I plan on expanding the site with more images regularly.
