NICK HERBERT is a Stanford-educated physicist, author of "Quantum Reality", "Faster Than Light" and "Elemental Mind", former industrial research scientist, teacher at all levels from college to pre-school (including home-school science at his wife Betsy's South Street Centre and workshops on quantum reality at Esalen Institute). With musicians and video artists Nick has hosted many "Quantum Evenings" at the Boulder Creek Library and Santa Cruz's notorious Bulkhead Gallery. Locally known as one of Boulder Creek's "Bistro Poets", he has published verse in "Mondo 2000", "Future Sex" magazine, Cruzio's "The Hawk" cyberzine and was a finalist in the San Francisco Bay Guardian's anniual poetry contest.
