The Dervish

The Dervish is a wise man who meditates at an oasis in the desert. If you type in "rest" here, you will sleep for an hour. "Sleep" will make you sleep until either dawn or nightfall, depending on what time it is when you type it. The oasis is also a source of water, priceless to an adventure who finds himself in the middle of nowhere with empty waterskins. Keapon Laffin will give you some money for a bit of dervish beard and despite your rudeness in stealing his beard, the dervish may give up some of his wisdom to you. To find the oasis, go three screens to the right of Shapier and then travel south.
