Mug Questions
On a separate piece of paper, ( go to file and select New) answer the following questions in regards to your mugs.
1 Write a descriptive paragraph regarding your Chalice or mug about a historical
event and try to include the following information.
a. When the event took place. b. Why was it significant enough so that you
chose to make a chalice about it. c. How did you represent the event meaning
what things did you include in the construction of your chalice to represent
the historical event? d. Do you think your finished product was successful
in representing your historical event? What were the good qualities of your
chalice and what could you have done better? e. Include any other information
to help the viewer understand what you were trying to express.
2. Write a descriptive paragraph about the mug about yourself explaining what
you were trying to convey to the viewer by only using symbols on your mug. You
should try to include some of the following information. a.What is the significance
of the symbols you used? b.If you incorporated the handle into your design,
what were you representing through the handle? c.Do you think your finished
product was successful in representing you? Could someone tell the mug is about
you if they had to pick it out within a group of mugs? What were the good qualities
of your mug and what could you have done better? d.Include any other information
to help the viewer understand what you were trying to express.
3. Write a descriptive paragraph about the mug you made about a GHS staff member. Tell me why you included the decoration and symbols regarding the person.Why do you think a person would know that this mug was made for this person. What is the best thing about this mug and why did you choose the person you did to make a mug for.
4. Looking at the
rubric , what number best describes the quality and completeness of your
work?
