~ Paper Companies ~

Crane Direct Program 800 527 2636 A very interesting 200 year old company licensed to recycle old federal dollar bills into new paper, have never used trees for paper, yet strangely (maybe because they are long-established and conservative) they seem to fall beneath the radar screen of 'green' companies.
I love their paper, particularly their old money/cotton variety. You can find Crane Paper Company on the web selling fancy and expensive 'social' stationary'. You can even find their fine 100% cotton packaged papers in Kinkos at a price. But go 'Crane Direct' for best prices on reams. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~**~*~*~*~*~*

TREECO - These people are located on the West Coast. They take the trouble to define exactly what the different recycled symbols mean so that you can make informed choices and they have various options to fit different pocket books:

ECOSOURCE PAPER INC - This company is the 'baby' of Odette, a French Canadian who cares deeply about the trees and is committed to entirely tree-free paper. She supplied the paper for our hemp expo posters and postcards, text and cardstock of the finest quality, for copiers etc. If you get Odette, mention me.

Waston Paper Company in NM - Stefan Watson 505 242 9351- paper from 100% recycled denim scraps, various shades of blue, sometimes deals on overrun reams - mention Corrina & Bee Bright (we use his cardstock for hangtags and paper for other needs. Stefan developed the technology to process denim into paper and did sell his paper originally through Crane but they weren't really getting it out there so he decided to handle it all himself.

Green Field Paper Company - we know the owner, Jeff, because we supplied him with his first organically grown colored cotton scraps for his paper, and we did a paper trade for hemp expo booth in San Francisco. Probably remembers me..
