Wilderness (2014) text by Sigurd Olson. 3 1/2 by 3 ¼ inches. $850.

This is a one-of-a-kind book was calligraphed, illustrated and bound by Donna Thomas using Peter's handmade paper. The text is quote by the noted North Woods conservationist Sigurd Olson. The illustrations are watercolor paintings made while on a canoe trip in the Boundary Waters area of Minnesota. The pop out title page and calligraphy were done back in the studio. The book is full bound in leather with a leather onlay of a canoe and the title in gold on the front cover. The book is housed in a clamshell box with the title and an illustration on a paper label on the front cover.

Note: These are the original illustrations that were used to create our limited edition miniature book of the same title.
